Nancy Johnstone

Nancy Joined our team in October 2023. She’s a WA state native who moved with her family to Whidbey Island in 2020 from central WA. She brings us 8 years of multi-medical administration experience, which makes her an asset to our front office team. She’s both knowledgeable and sincere, bringing a friendly smile to our front desk. She has 3 children with her husband of 25 years, all of whom enjoy the great outdoors and have fallen in love with Whidbey’s unique experiences.

Reagan Passalacqua

Reagan joined our team in September 2023, a new islander having been transferred from Jacksonville, FL with her husband, a US Navy pilot, and her two German Sheperd babies. She adds 5 years of medical assistant experience working in direct care in an ENT clinic. Her dedication and passion for patient care will make her an ideal clinical audiology technician, expertly assisting both our providers and our hearing aid patients with a wide variety of tasks, including walk-in cleaning, maintenance, and repair needs.

Deanna Ellefson

Deanna joined our team in July 2023 to help build our Balance Department by becoming another certified balance technician. On top of her Bachelor of Science, B.S., in Speech and Hearing Science (University of Washington, 2001) and 30 years in healthcare management, she became our Certified Balance Technician through the American Institute of Balance. She wholeheartedly enjoys helping patients problem-solve their balance needs and help them achieve better health. Outside of work, she finds peace in yardwork and hiking the beautiful beaches and trails of Whidbey. We are grateful for her part in our growth in building a new department and team of dedicated professionals!

Alicia Kaump-Clark

Alicia joined our team in January 2022. She’s an active-duty military spouse that came to Whidbey Island from the metro Detroit area in the fall of 2021 and immediately fell under our island’s spell. She and her husband will welcome their first child, a baby girl to be named Nora, this coming winter! She brings us 5 years of experience in medical administration and has assumed the role of patient care coordinator, managing our provider’s busy schedules. She completed her Audiology Technician certificate in 2022 and will capably assist with all your hearing aid service and maintenance needs. Her dedication to customer service ensures all your expectations will be met during your visit.

KristineJarrell

Kristine L. Jarrell Au.D.

Dr. Kristine Jarrell is a board-certified audiologist bringing over 25 years of expertise to Whidbey Island. She received her Master’s Degree in Audiology from Western Washington University in 1995 before completing her Doctorate at Arizona School of Sciences in 2004. Her career began in 1995 working for an otolaryngologist in Coupeville, WA. She worked in occupational audiology having managed the hearing conservation program at Oak Harbor’s Naval Hospital, giving her a profound respect for our military and all who serve, both active and retired. Showing dedication to her community, she co-owned a private audiology practice in Oak Harbor for 9 years before opening her own private practice in Coupeville, WA. She’s constantly exploring new and innovative ways to expand our service regimen, and has most recently added Balance to our Birch Street location! She completed certification with the American Institute of Balance and is thrilled to offer you assessments, recommendations and treatment options to help form a solid treatment plan. Dr. Jarrell is the proud mama to two mini Dachshunds, Finnegan and Bria – and two handsome men: Seth and Jake. She has a sincere, infectious personality that will have you leaving your visit with a smile.

LisaSanchez

Lisa Sanchez, HIS

Lisa is our Whidbey Island native. She joined Hearing Health Services in September 2017, transferring from the dental community. She completed her Audiology Technician certificate in 2019, her Hearing Instrument Specialist degree in 2022 and became certified with the American Institute of Balance in 2023. She now joins Dr. Jarrell as our second clinical provider, performing hearing and balance assessments and all services related to hearing aids. She’s our practice director, clinical coordinator, operations manager, handles insurance and billing, marketing opportunities, special events and team management.
